University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003, it is one of the best schools in Europe. According to Times Higher Education ranking of 2018, university of Luxembourg ranked 12 in Young University Ranking, and also 178 in THE World University ranking 2016.

Available Programs at University of Luxembourg
The university offers 14 bachelor, 42 masters and 16 lifelong learning programs. They also offer vocational courses and specialised PhD programs for both native and international students. Their staff network is made up of knowledgeable experts with much experience in the fields they are anchoring to ensure good impartation of knowledge.

PhD in University of Luxembourg
These 4 doctoral schools offer specialised training programs;
- Doctoral School in Science and Engineering (DSSE)

- Doctoral School in Humanities and Social Sciences (DSHSS)
Language of instructions are usually at least 2 per course except on very rare occasions. Sometimes they use French and English or French and German; some programs use up to 3 languages. On rare occasions, only one language can be used, and that will likely be English to attract international students.
All their undergraduate degree students must spend at least one semester studying abroad, that is why the school collaborates with over 90 universities abroad.

European Investment Fund Guarantee for Students
University of Luxembourg collaborated with European Investment Fund to offer financial aids to deserving students. The scheme responsible for this includes;

As a student within this scheme, the school allows you to defer the payment of some part of your tuition fees I you are do in masters. It is mainly for international students.
Scholarship by CEDIES
Any financial aid from the government in that country is awarded through CEDIES (Centre de Documentation et d’Information sur l’Enseignement supérieur) to all srudents who meet their complete requirements; check their website below for details on the requirements.
This government’s financial aid is like a student loan and scholarship put together for a fixed interest rate of 2%. If you already enjoy sponsorship of any kind, you are not eligible to apply. It is 13,000 euros per annum. They can only allow a maximum semester fee of. 3,700 euros in the scheme.

Erasmus grant
If you study abroad at an institution beyond Europe or their neighbouring areas an Erasmus student, you will be awarded an Erasmus grant.
Mobility fund
Studying in an institution beyond the Great-Region as a non-Erasmus student,
you are entitled to a grant from the Mobility fund.
University of Luxembourg Tuition Fees
What they charge is not tuition fees but a Norma semester fee of 400 euros for 1st and 2nd semester, and 200 euros for the rest of the semesters you have in the school.
The school charges special tuition fees from international students depending on their graduate program, confirm with them directly.
University of Luxembourg Admission and Application
Unusual procedure because of the COVID-19 pandemic
The school had to make changes to their application process because of covid 19 health problem.
It had to set up a process where students can apply by mailing to the school since it online application portal was closed temporarily.
Another way one can apply is by sending your documents to the school’s official email, making sure to include all required documents and passport photograph if needed. Their email is application2020@uni.lu, for more updates, visit official website.
Intake Periods
Their normal deadline is usually 26 April for international students, but this year’s own was extended due to covid 19 pandemic to 11 May.
