Even if you are a non-European student, you can still expect to pay cheap tuition fees in Universities of Sweden.

The application fee is non-refundable even when you are not given admission, so it is good to make yourself ready for admission into any school so that you can stand a chance. Some schools in Sweden do not charge application fee, just find out from your school of choice if they charge or not.
Doctoral students are exempted from paying tuition fees; meaning that they study abroad free in Sweden.
Likewise, students from Europe do not pay tuition fee, they are allowed to study in Sweden for free.
But no matter what, all students are charged semester application fee as well, which could be 100 euros, but it depends on the school involved.
Studying in government schools is cheaper than private; but average tuition fee in Sweden is still higher than some European countries like Germany, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg or Finland.
You can estimate to pay between 12,000 to 22,000 euros per year depending on the university or program of choice. Professional programs like medicine or law could be higher.
Study Abroad in Sweden in English at Affordable Universities – Cost of Living
Living cost for foreign nationals studying abroad in Sweden ranges between 870 to 950 euros per month; this covers all expenses like accommodation, feeding, transportation, utility bills etc. This is possible even in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. It is a home to about 17 universities and several colleges.
Some cities like Umea, Karlstad and Uppsala seems to be more affordable compared to the capital of Sweden. The estimated living cost stands at 700 to 880 euros monthly; smaller cities are below this estimate. You can use 600 to 700 euros in a Mont and fend comfortably for yourself.
Just spend wisely, or else you will incure a higher cost of living.
Study in Sweden in English at Cheap Universities – Admission Requirements
Generally, you should expect to show proof of competency of your language of instruction; this could be English or any other language used in teaching at higher institutions in Sweden. TOEFL or IELTS is accepted for those studying abroad in Sweden in English. Each school have their own cut off mark, just confirm from your chosen school what is required or if you can be exempted.
